I know it's only been twelve days, but things seem to be both moving slowly and quickly.  If nothing else, this will be a quick post.  

Why are keyboards so hard!?

I just can't seem to get a keyboard that works for me.  And now I'm on the search again.  Come along with me if you'd like!

It's been awhile since I last updated.  Obviously, the migraines and job stuff are primarily on my mind, but I'll update on those at the bottom.

Medium Term - Get paid?

Now I need to work on a Medium Term Plan. 

Short Term Plan - Quit

Short term is done.   Now I need to move on to medium term.  

Hurt

 The story we write about ourselves is always magical, even if it's dull.  Right?  We'll live on.  We won't get cancer.  We won't grow weak.  We'll find love and we'll keep love.  Our lives will just go well.  The good chapters are long while the bad chapters are short.  Well, I think I found out that my story isn't that of a hero.  It's a tragedy and I've entered the last few chapters.  The ones where I hurt.  

Pride

I both love and hate that the LGBT+ community is a big umbrella with so much under it.  It has gender identity, gender, sexual identity, sexual attractions, and combinations therein.  That's a LOT to get under one umbrella.  I remember first learning about 'Pride Month' and hearing it referred to as 'Gay Pride Month'.  The same thing applies to the Pride Flag as I first heard of it as the Gay Pride Flag.  Well.... that's problematic.  

Goodbye Z

I complained in my last update post about our Dog, Z, and how it'd be more humane to put him down.  I guess that post was prescient. 

Update June 03, 2023

Time seems to stop for months at a time then all of a sudden four months have passed by. 

I watched mom die

 This is one of those strange narratives where the 'peak' of the story isn't the end.  I kind of feel like I'm currently living through the epilogue of this story because 'I watched my mother die' really can't be topped.  I guess I should start there... I watched my mom die on the morning of May 1st, 2023.  As of now, May 6th, she's still alive, but I did watch her die.  To understand all of that we'll have to travel backwards and then take it in chronological order.  

Chromebooks and D&D?

I mentioned in a post on the main blog that I bought a Chromebook.  And yeah, before I go further I need to admit that it was a stupid purchase.  It cost me just under $400 for a device that I'll barely use.  In addition, I already have a folding phone that I paid $1800 for, that would serve a similar purpose with only minimal downsides.  But yeah, I bought a Chromebook.  Let's talk about it.

2022 - Yeah, this just isn't getting any better

I'm not even sure how to quantify this anymore.  The level that 2022 sucks is hard to compare to the levels that 2021 and 2020 sucked.  Let's take a longer view, then a true year in review.
