Hate Trumped Love

I'll just start out by saying that I voted for Clinton.  To say I'm disappointed in the election results is to not really understand my state of being right now.  You see, I didn't really want Hillary Clinton as president.  Sure, she's a fine stand in for a fairly conservative democrat, but she's far to moderate/conservative for my tastes.  I didn't think that Bernie would have done well in a general election, but maybe he would have done just fine.  Maybe this was the year that the liberal call for social and economic justice would have found that broader audience.

Or maybe President Trump was inevitable.

You see, I voted for Clinton not to elevate her to the Presidency but to keep Trump out of it.  I'm not going to go through the list of  disgusting and/or bigoted and/or stupid things he's said.  Instead I want to try to lay out how I think of him as a man.  Because deep down, that's who won.  Not the person they voted for, not the candidate, not the nominee.... the man.

In my view, Donald J Trump... er.... President Elect Donald J Trump wants to 'Win'.  Now you and I can't decide what winning is to this man.  But at his core, he wants to win.  He has the 'best'.... his things are 'huge'.... he's the 'smartest'... over and over and over.  He compares himself to others and declares that he's better.  They're terrible, terrible, people.  He's a good guy.   They lie, he tells the truth.  They cheat, he strives to be true and honest.  They commit crimes, he is the pillar of legality. On and on and on.  There is no comparison that he can't make because he doesn't seem to pull anything from factual objective evidence.

Just consider the back and forth he had with Senator Ted Cruz.  Lyin' Ted. Ted Cruz is a liar.  Ted Cruz's wife isn't good enough.  Ted isn't an American.  Ted's father helped Oswald.  No one at the RNC likes Ted.  Ted is pathetic especially when he teamed up with Kasich.  Ted committed fraud in Iowa.  On and on and on and on.  Until Cruz dropped out.  Then Cruz was fine.  "We love Ted".  Ted was a good guy.  Ted was a loyal Republican.  Then Cruz dissed Trump... and suddenly he's pathetic again.

Did President Elect Trump like Senator Ted Cruz?  Did he have a personal vendetta with him?  Did they professionally cross paths somewhere?  It doesn't matter... when Trump was running against Cruz he had to have Cruz be a bad guy and when Cruz was supporting him, then Cruz had to be a good guy.  The same thing happened with Hillary Clinton... remember he was going to have an independent prosecutor investigator her and put her in jail.  Until he won.  Then he's out there saying we all owe here a debt of gratitude for her life's work.

Speaking of prosecutors and Clinton's guilt.  I honestly don't know where that comes from.  My belief is that people think she's guilty of.... something?  And until anybody can prove it, it's just a sign of peoples incompetence or proof of corruption.  But think about that for a moment... Congress (the republican's in Congress) had her up on Benghazi hearings trying to figure out how she was guilty for that.  They couldn't find anything.  Well it has to be in her emails.... so they attack and investigate her for having a private email server.... and they can't find anything.  But they can't find anything because she deleted the private stuff from her server.  She's guilty so obviously the proof of guilt lies in the deleted emails.  So they investigate her again.  And again.  And again.  10 congressional comittes were part of the investigation, it cost us millions of dollars, 252 witnesses testified, 13 reports were generated from the investigations, 33 congressional hearings were held...

And they couldn't find her guilty of anything.  These are her political enemies... if there was some shred of wrongdoing there, they would have found it, and screamed it out from the top of the capitol until every single person in the world knew that she was guilty!  But she wasn't.  Then the FBI investigated her and beyond calling her more or less careless and stupid, didn't find anything that a prosecutor would take her to court on.   So the FBI is corrupt.   Then the FBI says it's investigating her again, and the FBI is brilliant.  Then they say that they didn't find anything and their both corrupt and bad at their jobs.

So of course there won't be a special prosecutor for Hillary Clinton from President Trump... she didn't do anything worth prosecuting.  But you know what... saying that she's guilty and corrupt and evil won him tons of votes and cost her votes.  I know deep seated blue blooded democrats that said they "just don't know" about her because of all this stuff about her emails.  I wanted to scream and pull my hair out and slap them around... they keep screaming 'email' and 'benghazi' and 'corrupt' and suddenly you think there might be something there?  Just because they keep screaming it?  I think I'm going to try this at work.  I'm just going to start telling my bosses that they gave me a raise and no matter how much evidence and testimony they provide showing that they in fact haven't given me a raise, I'll just keep on saying it.  If it works, they'll start to doubt themselves and just give me the damned raise.

So back to President Elect Trump.   He wants to win.  He wants to win and doesn't care about overtly lying to get the win.  He doesn't care about changing positions at the drop of a dime to get the win.  Did you watch the debate?  His emphatic denial of ever saying Global Warming is a hoax made up by the Chinese.... when he sent that out in a tweet!  It took journalists about 5 seconds to find that.  And his emphatic denial of ever saying that Japan and South Korea should have nuclear weapons?   He was denying that to the journalist that he told it to!  Seriously, he was telling Chris Wallace of Fox News that he never said that Japan and South Korea should have their own nuclear weapons, when he in fact said that to Chris Wallace in an interview broadcast on Fox News!!!

Is anybody really holding their breath for President Elect Trump to release his taxes?  Is anybody really holding their breath for President Elect Trump to put his finances in a blind trust?   If there are, then they just haven't been paying attention.  He said he'd do both of those things when it was politically convenient to do so.  Then he stalled.   And now he doesn't have to do them.

This duality is still happening.  He decried the protests saying it's unfair when he more or less called for protests after Barack Obama won the election of 2012.  So if anybody is thinking there will be some kind of shift to a more Presidential Trump after he won... nope.  Sorry.  He's still going for the win.

It's this behavior that made me want to do anything to keep him out of office.  It's this that made me want to cry when anybody would say something like "Well he's better than Clinton".  No.  He isn't.  He isn't half the man that Hillary Clinton is (yeah, I know what I said).  He's a child that call out to the devils on all of our shoulders and got us all hopping mad.  Not because he wants to make our nation better.  Not because he has a plan to defeat ISIS.  Not because he thought he could raise the nation and world up.

He did it because he wanted to win.

I don't know that he's a racist because all the evidence I have of that is from his own mouth... and he just changes his positions whenever it's convenient.  The same applies to him being a bigot and hating women.  I can't say it because all I have are his words.  And the fact that I can't believe a single thing he's said is what makes him so terrible.

"He'll change Washington!"  Yeah... change goes two ways and he's going to make it worse.

"He'll make America Great Again!"  Do you even know what that means?  I'm sure he has nothing beyond that slogan.

"He'll protect the Supreme Court!"  You do realize he was pro choice at one point?  He was against money in politics.  He was for social justice.  He was a fucking democrat!

"He'll repeal Obamacare!"  And take insurance away from over 20 million people?  No.. that won't be a win so he can't possibly do that.  (And it looks like today he announced that he'll be keeping parts of Obamacare.  Since you can't repeal some of a bill, he won't be repealing it at all!)

"He'll build a wall!"  And they'll climb over the wall.  If he does build an 11 foot wall the only thing he'll be doing is making a run on 12 foot tall ladders.

On and on and on.
